Performance Overview

System Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 or newer
  • RAM: 2GB available memory
  • Storage: 1GB free disk space
  • Network: Internet connection for Steam API access

  • Hardware: Modern CPU and GPU for smooth UI performance

Resource Usage

Normal Operation

  • RAM Usage: 100-200MB for main application
  • CPU Usage: Less than 1% when idle, 2-5% during active operations
  • Network: Minimal bandwidth for API calls
  • Disk: Small log files and cache data

When Idling Games

  • Additional RAM: 1-10MB per SteamUtility process
  • Additional CPU: Minimal overhead per game
  • Max Games: 32 simultaneous (Steam limitation)

Optimization Settings

General Performance Settings

Access Performance Settings

  1. Click in the sidebar
  2. Navigate to Settings > General
  3. Adjust performance-related options
  • Disable tooltips: Reduces UI overhead
  • Start minimized: Keeps SGI in system tray
  • Prevent away status: Disable if not needed
  • Free game notifications: Disable if not needed
  • Enabled beta features: Disable if not using beta features

Memory Optimization

Reduce Memory Usage

  • Close unused features: Don’t run card farming if not needed
  • Limit concurrent games: Idle fewer games simultaneously
  • Clear cache regularly: Restart SGI periodically to clear memory
  • Monitor background processes: Close unnecessary applications
